Our Moving Services
Horsepower Moving and Storage handles every part of a move in-house - our own crews, our own 26-foot trucks, and our own warehouse in Louisville. Whether it's a two-hour apartment move across town or a full household relocated to another state, the same standards apply: a free estimate, a written price before we schedule, and furniture disassembly and reassembly at no extra charge.
Every service below is priced hourly with a two-hour minimum, plus one flat truck fee for your area. And if what you need isn't something we handle, we'll tell you at the estimate rather than on move day.
Residential Moving
Houses, condos, and townhomes, including the attic, basement, and garage most estimates forget about. Furniture disassembly and reassembly are included at no extra charge, with beds back together the same day.
Local Moving
Billed hourly with a two-hour minimum, plus one flat truck fee set by where you’re moving and confirmed with your estimate.
Long-Distance Moving
To and from all 48 contiguous states. Licensed and insured, registered with the FMCSA as USDOT 4474565.
Commercial Moving
Offices, professional suites, medical and dental practices, and retail spaces. We issue the Certificate of Insurance your building management will ask for, and weekends cost the same as weekdays.
Apartment Moving
Walk-ups, narrow stairways, and tight turns, on a two-hour minimum. Elevator windows, loading zones, and gate codes arranged before the date rather than on it.
White-Glove Moving
Artwork, antiques, designer furniture, and pieces that need a plan before anyone lifts. We offer replacement-value protection options on every move, with a custom plan for high-value pieces.
Packing Services
Full packing at a discount off our hourly rate, with materials priced below what you’d pay in the stores. Our crew can drop boxes off before move day, and we’ll share the full price list up front.
Senior Moving
Downsizing, retirement community moves, and households split between the new place, family, and storage. Free in-home estimates, so families coordinating from out of state get a straight answer on what’s actually in the house.
Storage Services
When closings don’t line up, we load out, hold your belongings, and deliver when you have keys. Storage goes into your moving estimate rather than sending you to find a unit yourself.

Get Your Free Estimate
Free, no obligation, and on-site whenever you'd like one - we recommend it for homes over 3,000 square feet, but we'll come out for any move. We walk the property, ask about anything heavy or awkward, and put the full price in writing before you book. A $100 deposit holds your date and comes off your final bill.
We Arrive and Load
Our crew calls with an ETA before they set off, arriving in a morning window (8–9am) or afternoon window (12–4pm). Mattresses come off frames and into bags, flat-screen TVs get wrapped, and furniture is disassembled rather than forced through a doorway. The clock starts when the crew arrives, not when they leave the yard.
Settle Into Your New Space
We place furniture where you want it and reassemble whatever we took apart at no extra charge - beds included, the same day, so there's somewhere to sleep that night. Before we leave, your crew chief walks you through the itemized Bill of Lading, and payment is due at completion.
