Know What It Costs Before You Book
Free estimates, a written price, and a deposit that comes off your final bill. No moving-day surprises.
St. Matthews packs more housing variety into a smaller footprint than anywhere else in the metro. Along Shelbyville Road and Breckenridge Lane, you have a dense corridor of apartment and condo communities, each with its own rules about move-in hours, elevator reservations, loading zones, and management paperwork. Step off the corridor, and it's established residential streets - mid-century ranches, split-levels, and older homes on mature lots with trees over the driveways and garages that haven't been cleaned out since the nineties. We handle both, and the difference is mostly what needs arranging in advance. St. Matthews is its own incorporated city, about five miles east of downtown Louisville off the Watterson Expressway.
Houses, condos, and townhomes, with furniture disassembly and reassembly included at no extra charge.
Upright pianos, safes, treadmills, and massage chairs, handled by crews equipped for them.
Interstate moves to and from all 48 contiguous states, planned around your closing dates.
St. Matthews has no shortage of movers driving through. Here's what separates the ones who know the area from the ones learning it on your clock.
The communities along Shelbyville Road and near Oxmoor each run differently - reserved loading zones, elevator windows that book in fixed slots, gate codes, management offices that need notice and sometimes a Certificate of Insurance before a crew is admitted. We sort it all out ahead of the date rather than idling in a fire lane while someone finds a key. Tell us the building at your estimate.
The residential streets off the corridor look straightforward from the outside, and usually they are - until you get to the basement stairs. Builders constructed mid-century ranches here with interior stairways narrower than anything you'd see in new construction, and the landings turn tighter than they look. Our crews disassemble furniture rather than force it through. If a piece won't clear a turn, we remove the banister instead of pushing it through. We handle situations like this routinely.
The other thing these houses hide is volume. A ranch with a full basement, a two-car garage, and forty years of accumulated belongings is a bigger job than a two-story house with empty closets. One 26-foot truck holds roughly 1,600 square feet of normally furnished living space. Tell us about the basement at your estimate, not on move day.
Hourly labor with a two-hour minimum, plus a flat truck fee confirmed with your estimate. Your $100 deposit comes off the final bill, and the clock starts when the crew arrives - not when they leave the yard. Weekends and holidays cost the same as weekdays.
We're family-owned, licensed and insured, and registered with the FMCSA as USDOT 4474565. Every mover on our crews is background-checked on an ongoing basis, not once at hiring.

Yes, and it's regular work for us. Tell us the building at your estimate - if there's an elevator to reserve, a loading zone to book, or a management office that needs notice, we handle that before the date rather than on it.
Yes. Most apartment and condo buildings require one before a moving crew is admitted, and some require them at both ends. Send us the management company's requirements, and we'll have the certificate issued before move day.
Usually with partial disassembly. The interior stairways in St. Matthews mid-century homes are narrower than they look, and the landings often turn tighter than modern furniture was designed for. We take the piece apart rather than force it, and where the banister is the obstacle, we remove it and put it back. Tell us the item and the staircase for your estimate.
One 26-foot truck holds roughly 1,600 square feet of normally furnished living space, measuring 7 feet 9 inches wide and 6 feet 10 inches high inside, with a liftgate or ramp. No cap on box count or total weight - it only has to fit. When a move needs two or more trucks, we pack the day before rather than compressing everything into one day.
No. Saturdays and Sundays are the same rate as weekdays, and we move 365 days a year.
Two hours of labor, plus the flat truck fee for your area.
Yes, at no additional fee. We disassemble beds, tables, and anything else we take apart, then reassemble them at the destination. Mattresses come off frames and into mattress bags, and flat-screen TVs get wrapped. Beds are reassembled the same day.
Yes. Multi-stop moves are estimated separately, so the flat truck fee doesn't apply. We can also include storage in your estimate if the closings or lease dates don't line up.
