Know What It Costs Before You Book
Free estimates, a written price, and a deposit that comes off your final bill. No moving-day surprises.
New Albany has some of the most demanding housing stock we work in. Mansion Row and the downtown historic district are full of large nineteenth-century homes with grand staircases that are narrower at the turn than they look, original floors that need protecting, and street frontage with limited room for a truck. Up in Silver Hills the roads climb, and access is the first thing we check rather than the last. Then there's everything else - post-war neighborhoods off Grant Line Road, apartment communities near Indiana University Southeast, and newer subdivisions on the outskirts. Different jobs, same crews. New Albany carries a flat truck fee, set by where you're moving and confirmed with your estimate, and it's reached via the toll-free Sherman Minton Bridge on I-64.
Houses, condos, and townhomes, with furniture disassembly and reassembly included at no extra charge.
Upright pianos, safes, treadmills, and massage chairs, handled by crews equipped for them.
Interstate moves to and from all 48 contiguous states, planned around your closing dates.
Older, larger homes are where technique matters more than muscle. Here's how we approach them.
Nineteenth-century staircases, plaster walls, original hardwood, doorframes with no clearance to spare. Furniture gets wrapped before it leaves the room, and anything that won't clear a turn comes apart rather than getting forced. Where the banister is the obstacle, we take it off - our crews do it regularly enough that it isn't an event.
One 26-foot truck holds roughly 1,600 square feet of normally furnished living space. A Mansion Row house is frequently more than that, and a two-truck move means we pack the day before rather than compressing everything into one day. That's a scheduling decision better made at your free on-site estimate than at 8am on moving day - we recommend one for any home over 3,000 square feet.
We offer replacement-value protection options on every move, explained in writing before you book. For higher-value contents, we prepare a custom protection plan based on the item's value, so the choice is yours to make knowingly.
We're a family-owned company registered with the FMCSA under USDOT 4474565, licensed and insured, and every mover on our crews is background-checked on an ongoing basis.

Yes, and it's regular work for us. Expect an on-site estimate first - homes that size are often a two-truck job, and we'd rather establish that in advance than halfway through the day.
Usually with partial disassembly. Narrow turns, tight landings, and doorframes without clearance are routine, and we remove banisters where that's what it takes. Tell us the piece and the staircase at your estimate and we'll tell you honestly whether it will go.
Every truck we run is 26 feet, measuring 7 feet 9 inches wide and 6 feet 10 inches high inside, with a liftgate or ramp.
We offer replacement-value protection options on every move, explained in writing before you book. For high-value pieces we prepare a custom protection plan based on the item's value.
Upright pianos, yes, as part of a household move, for a special-item fee confirmed with your estimate. Grand and baby grand pianos we don't take, for liability reasons - for those we'll point you to Gist Piano Center. We also don't move grandfather clocks, sheds, or saunas.
At least 48 hours, and two weeks is better. We can sometimes take a short-notice move, and we keep a cancellation list if you need an earlier date than we can offer.
